Special EventsProject ABLE Special EventsSPECIAL EVENTS . July 29th - Summer Picnic We will be having burgers/hotdogs, pickles, chips, cookies, watermelon and water/pop. Location: North Alexander Park Shelter #1 Date: Wednesday, July 29th Time: 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm Cost: $10 Registration cut off July 17th to give us enough time to get supplies. Staff will need to register as well if you'd like to eat. . August 22nd - Science Museum The Science Museum of Minnesota is a large interactive science museum. Many exhibits encourage participation, allowing guests to experiment, interact with displays, and learn through activities. TRIP DETAILS Bus will leave promptly at 9:30 AM (arrive by 9:15 AM to load the bus) Bring a bag lunch or concessions will be available at the cafe at the museum Bus will return to the FEC around 3:30 PM Date: Saturday, August 22nd Time: 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM Cost: Participant - $25 (Includes ticket cost and bus transportation) ~ Staff - FreeProject ABLE Summer 2026 -

Wiggles & Giggles (0 - 2 yrs) Summer Evening SessionToddlersFor children ages 0 to 2 years old. This class brings our littlest learners together for hands on exploration. Your child will use their senses to investigate new toys, textures and sounds as they meet new friends and sing new songs. This is a non-separating class and parents remain in the classroom meeting and learning from one another, an early childhood teacher and a parent educator. Participants will learn fundamentals such as grip, forehand and backhand swings, serving basics, footwork, teamwork, and game play through drills and activities designed for younger players. Please bring a water bottle and tennis shoes each day. 5th–8th Grade Tennis Skills Camp This camp is designed to help older students strengthen their tennis fundamentals while improving technique, strategy, movement, serving, rallying, and match play skills. Players will build confidence, sportsmanship, and overall game knowledge through skill-based instruction and competitive activities.
