Unfortunately, the cost of a full Driver Education program can be an impossible barrier for some families.Our School District’s Community Education department believes that financial constraints should never stand in the way of road safety. We are launching an initiative to fund Driver Education scholarships for local high school students in financial need.How Your Gift Helps:$50 defrays the cost of the classroom materials and permit prep for one student.$150 funds approximately three hours of vital 1-on-1 Behind-the-Wheel training with a certified instructor.$435 provides a full scholarship (30 hours of classroom + 6 hours of driving), putting a safe, legal, and confident young driver on our Minnesota roads.Every dollar donated goes directly toward student tuition assistance. By investing in our youth, you are investing in safer roads for everyone in our community.

Collecting this information is part of a larger effort to improve the quality and availability of programs that support youth and their families in Minnesota. What personal information will be collected? Students’ demographic information, which will be used by the Minnesota Department of Education to link with student outcome data. Students’ out-of-school time program participation data, including number of days of attendance. Responses to the Survey of Academic and Youth Outcomes (SAYO), which includes questions related to your child’s experience in the after-school or summer program. Who can see the personal information that is collected for research? Access to private information about your child will be strictly limited and safeguards are in place to prevent any unauthorized disclosure of private information. Some of the people who may have access include: Staff in the organization that provides activities for your child so they can provide better programs. Healthy Community Initiative staff who help with data tracking and grant reporting. Auditors or those who have a legal right to review the work of this organization. Minnesota Department of Education staff who use the information to conduct research and write reports. Private (identifiable) information about you or your child will never appear in reports. Others may see information if it is required by law (such as a court order or warrant) to release it. What are your rights related to the data collected for 21CCLC? Community School collects participant data as a 21st Century Learning Center and as a Healthy Ways program partner. Participant data includes attendance & demographic information. Collecting this information is part of a larger effort to improve the quality and availability of programs that support youth and their families. If you do not want your child’s data to be included in 21CCLC research, please notify our staff. This will NOT impact your child’s participation in the program. You have the right to obtain a copy of the information that is maintained about your child. You have the right to correct any mistakes in the information about your child. Support Kids World Field Trip Adventures! At Kids World School Age Child Care, we believe some of the best learning happens beyond our program walls. Field trips give children the opportunity to explore, discover new interests, build friendships, and create lasting memories. Whether we're visiting local parks & pools, museums, fairs or other entertainment avenues, each experience provides hands-on learning in a fun and meaningful way.Unlike many programs, the cost of our field trips is built into our daily and weekly program rates. We believe every child should have the opportunity to participate without families having to pay separately for each trip. Our goal is to continue offering these enriching experiences while keeping our program affordable for everyone.Unfortunately, the cost of transportation, admissions, and activities continues to rise. This summer alone, we've encountered unexpected last-minute increases in field trip expenses, making it more challenging to stay within our budget without passing those costs on to families.We are asking for your support to help grow our Kids World Field Trip Fund.
